Background to Project
This tender exercise seeks to find a community partner organisation embedded within the local community in each of four case study areas in Inverness, Caithness, Orkney and Wester Ross to work with academic partners of the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI). Specifically, this tender opportunity focuses on securing a community partner to work in Caithness.
The aim of the project is to understand the impacts of Covid-19, and influence strategies for recovery through systematic community driven research. This will include gaining an understanding of individual/group support, the actions raised in the community in response to coronavirus and providing evidence to change policy and practice regionally.
In each case study area, we are looking for a community partner to work in collaboration with the local academic partner (Environmental Research Institute, North Highland College) to achieve the following objectives:
• Implement community-driven research which seeks to understand landscapes of change, and the actions taken in response to the global coronavirus pandemic.
• Capture this experience as case study for that area
• Influence policy and practice locally and regionally with community perspectives/ evidence about landscapes of change and covid recovery
