The HUGE project partnership is at the end of its journey and we would like to share with you what we have achieved in the past 3 years as well as to showcase the opportunities and future of green hydrogen in Scotland.
Green hydrogen is recognised as a key enabler of decarbonisation across numerous sectors including, heating, transport, and industry. The first part of the conference will focus on the developments across those sectors, featuring speakers at the forefront of scaling up hydrogen in Scotland. The second part of the conference will focus on the future pathway to energy transition in Scotland and green hydrogen role in it. A wide range of speakers will showcase supply chain innovations, policy advancements and research aspirations in the sphere of green hydrogen.
In the rural areas represented in the project there is a huge potential for hydrogen utilisation, for a variety of end uses – housing, transport and industry. Due to the territorial challenges , particularly labour market and peripherally, the uptake may not be as quick as is needed to fully address the challenges faced by our communities. During the extended (provided by us) lunch, you will have the opportunity to learn about the tailored solutions we have developed in each of our case studies spread across six different regions
