Job Description | I am researching the impacts of floating offshore wind infrastructure on the distribution and behaviour of fish and marine mammals. My work will use a combination of active and passive acoustics to investigate spatiotemporal variability of fish and cetacean distributions around floating turbines to quantify changes, monitor temporal trends, assess potential FAD effects and individual behaviour. Results will be compared to research on fixed offshore structures to assess specific effects from floating structures. The results will aid the assessment of cumulative effects from expanding floating offshore wind development. |
