Dr Roxane Andersen, who leads the Climate Water and Carbon research theme at ERI, has been recognised for her work in both Nature and with the BBC over the weekend.
The first piece is a news feature from the journal Nature, entitled How Peat Could Protect the Planet and looks at the work of Roxane and the recognition that Scotland has emerged as a leader in efforts to restore bogs to health.
The second piece is the story of almost £1m in funding looking at protecting peatlands from the effects of climate change. The project is being lead by Roxane and features on the BBC website.
