Expert Workshop on Migratory Species and Climate Change to Be Led by ERI’s Professor Des Thompson

Professor Des Thompson, Emeritus Fellow at the Environmental Research Institute (ERI), will lead the "Migratory Species and Climate Change Expert Workshop" under the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS). Taking place in Edinburgh from 11–13 February 2025, the workshop will address the impacts of climate change on migratory species and explore solutions like nature-based and ecosystem-based adaptations. Discussions will focus on species in need of intervention, shifts in migration routes, and their role in climate change mitigation.
